How much do you know about our money system? Do you even care how it works? Who is in charge of printing our money? Is it possible to print off enough money to pay off our national debt? Who was the only President in U.S. history to pay off the national debt, and how did he do it?
Should we go back to the gold standard? Why in the world did President Obama give so much of our tax-payer money to bail out the banks have been deemed "too big to fail"? Should we let them fail, and why? Where did we get the term "greenbacks"? Who was William Jennings Bryan and would we have been better off if he had been elected instead of William McKinley? Can the problem of poverty ever be solved? What does North Dakota and Iceland have in common? Which king of England allowed the people to pay off debts using sticks? Yes, I said sticks. And, what in the world does "The Wizard of Oz" have to do with any of this?
I just watched this full length film which I received as an email. It is fascinating and interesting. I strongly believe that every American should see this. Not only every American, but every person. (If I say "world-wide" will you think I'm crazy?)
It will take up almost two hours of your time. But, I am pretty sure you will be amazed if you take the time to watch it. I hope you do.
It is in fact a very amazing video, full of information and it makes me wonder why we've let the BANKS take so much control over the people. Not cool Mr. Banker guy, not cool.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting post Darlene! I'm off to watch your video now. Thanks!

I've never heard of this film! Phil knows all about this sort of thing, I will be interested in his opinion.
ReplyDeleteI just watched about 1/4 of this, Darlene. Thanks for posting. It is fascinating and highly frustrating -- that government doesn't learn from past mistakes, and there are relatively simple solutions to the monstrous problem, argh! It's appalling!
ReplyDeleteBut I hope you're well. ;-)

I'll be watching it this evening when I get home - every question you post is one that keeps me up at night. Can't wait to watch this!
ReplyDeleteWill Profit posted this film on his blog and I watched it all last night, and plan to watch it again right now. This is one great movie. Don't know where you found it, but glad you posted it. It should be mandatory watching for every voter! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSolving world debt is quite simple, freeze the accounts of the greedy bankers that got us all into this mess and use their cash to save the economy.
ReplyDeleteLots and lots to now think about after spending the time to totally watch this video. I even would rewind and watch portions again to make sure it was fully understood.
ReplyDeleteI can say that I have been saying to let the banks fail for the past few years. Maybe I am thinking I had good instincts. We got rid of all of our credit cards over 10 years ago. Now if we could just get the rest of the world to follow then maybe they would not overcharge interest to their cardholders. Am I the only one who sees this as an option. I think the only things that need to be financed are homes and possibly vehicles. Everything else should be paid with cash. How come no one sees or understands how much money they fork out in interest each year. If you stopped buying things on credit and only bought what you could afford, then you would end up saving more money in the long run. Take the money you were paying in interest and put it into the bank or under the mattress. This money will help you to retire in comfort some day.
I agree with you that every person on this planet should see this video. There is so much for us to learn and we should probably watch this video many times to fully understand. I am going to send it out in an email and hope that others will see it. It truly shows how governments in bed with the banks screw the people of the world. We need to be like the mice and come together to figure out how to fight against the banks.
WE NEED TO STOP BEING SLAVES TO THE BANKS!!!!!
God bless.
