Project 52

I've been sitting at the computer for nearly three hours, and I'm just now getting around to blogging. That is so wrong! Of course, blogging should have been the first priority!

Here it is Monday already, and time to give a report on Project 52. I'm sad to say that I have not found my original list. Hard to tell what happened to it. I'm positive I put it in a place I was sure to remember, but, of course, I have forgotten where that place might be. I even did some cleaning, and it never showed up. I suspect it might be hiding out with Papa Smurf.

Papa Smurf showed up as a Christmas present for Sweetie Pie. At first, she wasn't too sure about him, but she later befriended him. I mentioned in an earlier post that I had to play "Go fish" or "goldfish" as Sweetie Pie calls it, with Sweetie Pie and Papa Smurf, and I came in last place. Yes, Papa Smurf beat me at "Go fish"! I don't want to talk about that humiliating experience. It was the following night at bedtime that he went missing. Sweetie Pie was looking for him and he was nowhere to be found. We looked everywhere. The night is not happy when a tired little girl can't find her special new friend. I'm pretty sure that Papa Smurf came to life and ran away, taking my Project 52 notes with him, because neither one has made their presence known.

I have done #5 and #16. I know it may seem like cheating to put those two things on my list, but I like to be able to see that I'm making headway early on. Hubby and I also had our first date night in quite awhile. We went to see the Sherlock Holmes movie, something about "shadows" was in the title. As you can see, I don't get too bogged down with trivial things like titles. Any way, we enjoyed the movie, but the winter weather was rolling in, and so we didn't dilly-dally too much in getting home after the movie.

I'm going to keep looking for that darn list, and in the meantime, try to remember what some of my brilliant goals for 2012 are.

  3. Lol, that happens to me all of the time. I hope Papa Smurf shows up before Sweetie Pie comes to visit again.

  4. Stop looking for it and it will turn up. Or painstakingly make out another one, and you will find it right after! We just watched the first Sherlock (with Robert Downey) Guess we're behind a few years!

  5. Hello, Darlene! I cannot believe you are doing another Project 52!! Good for you, because I simply could not do it. It would put too much pressure on me and would cause me a ton of anxiety, looking at that week after week, trying to cross of the items. I'd be trying to rush to get it all done by July or something, and that's not the point, is it??!!! So good for you. You are probably a calm person in real life. Wish I were... :\
Well, good luck with your list! I'm not going to look at it when I come here to visit though. I don't want an anxiety attack, and it's not even my damn list! LOL!
    Best,
    Gloria

  6. Well, that's a great start I must say, losing your list!! DOH!! That's the sort of thing I would do. Quite often I buy things for pressies, put them in a safe place, and never find them again! LOL! Glad i'm not the only one.

  7. Aw, good old Papa Smurf!

Good job with getting the Christmas stuff put away. Definitely a good goal. I remember one year our (live) tree was up until February. It's so lucky the house didn't burn down!

  8. You are a better person than me. I can't keep a list for anything. Sigh. Thanks for your comment on my post tonight. She is doing better but is still very weak.

  9. I was here like 3 hours ago and then went to follow you on Pinterest and noticed that all my boards were pretty much empty, or maybe totally empty and so I started repining and just kept finding more things to check out. I finally figured I better stop exploring and get out of there. Now I know why the rest of you keep getting stuck in there.

Anyway I agree with the others here, quit looking for the list and Papa Smurf and they will just show up. Although I have learned to make my notes on my iPhone so as to not lose them anymore. So far it seems to be working. Although I do tend to forget to look at it but at least I am doing good with my Costco lists. I just keep forgetting to delete the old ones and have looked at the wrong one a few times. Oh well at least I had a list to look at.

And I wish you lots of fun with your projects this year. I was amazed at how many you completed last year. I think you will do them all this year. Think positive.

    God bless.

  10. I'm so glad "The Borrowers" have moved on to your house for a change. They were driving me crazy moving, taking, loosing things around here almost every day!!!! Hang in there. Rosemary
